I love to paint and I love to create!
Like so many other people, I discovered the joys of painting while raising a family and working.
I studied for many years with Lee Hughes and since retiring in 2001, I have had the opportunity
to take courses with wonderful artists including Tim Gaydos, Arne Westerman, Pat Dews,
Charles Reid and Don Andrews. They have all influenced me in one way or another and as a result
I have pursued painting oils, watercolors and mixed media. Although I have painted abstracts and
still-lifes, I especially enjoy painting en plein air whether at home or while traveling.
This summer I painted oils in Times Square with artist Danielle Hatherley. Thousands of people
were mulling around me and I loved it.

Currently, I am a member of the Essex Water Color Club, Art Association in Roxbury, and
Millburn-Short Hills Art Center.
My paintings have been exhibited and have sold while in juried art shows at St. John's on the Mountain in
Bernardsville, The Tewksbury Historical Society, St Mark's in Mendham and the Art Association in
Roxbury.

My favorite past-time is painting outside on location. The following painting is from Campobello
where I was able to capture some of the island's simple beauty.
